[REVIEW] Maybelline White Superfresh Long Lasting UV Cake Powder

Hello everyone

With all the rage going on about this baby, I decided to give it a try and yes, fortunately, it didn't disappoint me. So, without further ado, let's move on to my review!

Maybelline White Superfresh Long Lasting UV Cake Powder comes with four different shades from #02 Nude Beige, #03 Natural, #04 Honey to #05 Sand Beige. It has SPF 34 PA+++. I got myself #03 Natural and it suits my skin tone perfectly!

Product claims:

  • Clean-Touch Powder System
Enriched with Mineral Perlite that is 5X the absorption power of regular talc, it facilities sweat evaporation with almost zero build-up. Works a like blotter that continuously blots away sweat and sebum so that color stays true during the wear, complexion remains bright-looking.

  • 12H Fair Matte Look and Fresh Feel
Long lasting matte coverage that instantly whitens and evens skin tone, smoothes and blends away imperfections. So white-looking, makeup remains looking freshly-applied. So fresh-feeling, it creates the clean touch of a morning shower or face wash.

Maybelline has done a good job in the packaging. I'm loving the sleek white compact casing with a print of their logo, simplicity is beauty isn't it?

My opinions:
I really really love this product as it does do the job. It is long lasting, controls sebum and sweat well(with the combination of Biore UV Perfect Face Milk in my case). It lasted about 8 hours without getting cakey and my face doesn't feel that oily at all! Well, I do use tissue to blot a little just in case it gets nasty.

But so far so good for me. No breakouts or irritations for me because it's lightweight. Coverage wise, I would say it's sheer to medium. It covers my imperfections quite well, though i still need my concealer for my dark circles. No hassle cleaning it off and most importantly, it's affordable!!

Will I repurchase? Yes I will! This baby is now my favourite and I'm very thankful for it.

So to summarize:

  • Pros:
  1. Natural and matte finish
  2. Good sebum and sweat control (with the help of Biore UV Perfect Face Milk for me)
  3. Long lasting
  4. Good coverage
  5. Lightweight
  6. Affordable
  7. Freshen and brighten up my complexion
  8. No breakouts or irritations
  9. Won't get cakey
  10. Pretty sleek white packaging

  • Cons:
  1. Not really travel friendly and hygienic because of the holes at the bottom.

Where to buy?
Guardian, Watsons or most pharmacies nationwide.

The Face Shop Face It Aqua UV CC Cream Review

Hello lovelies, today I'm going to do a review on The Face Shop's Face It Aqua UV CC Cream.

Actually, I've been hesitating whether to get this or not. I've found reviews on other BB/CC creams and they're not bad but I just can't resist the cute compact design it has! It's pretty pricey too. After thinking through, I decided to give this a try~

It has SPF 50+ / PA+++. It cools down skin temperature and is against sweat and sebum. I got mine in 02 Natural Beige.

Without further ado, let's move on to the review!

Packaging: ★★★★
It comes in a compact container(which I thought is cute) with a puff. It's bulky but easy to carry around(it fits in my bag so I don't think it's a problem). If you run out of the cream, you can buy the refill. Push the back part of the compact to remove. To dispense, press the button circled in red(refer to image above) 1-2 times. Not very hygienic in my opinion.

Product: ★★★★
I'd say it has medium coverage. It finishes with a nice dewy look which I love it very much! It perfectly covers my blemishes and lessen the appearance of my dark circles. It is light weight and can last 4-5 hours for me. It is good against sweat but not for sebum. I found out that once the product made contact with sebum, it kind of crease, appearing like powdery(not too obvious though) instead of the normal dewy look(maybe it's me but idk).

Before and after:

I heard that this product contains skin irritants and ingredients that will clog pores. I have a sensitive and acne prone skin but I didn't experience any break outs or any allergic reactions. That's my case, I'm not sure about others.

Overall, I love this product. It covers well, it's long lasting, light weight and has high SPF. The only bad point is the price in my opinion. Other than that, it's awesome!

Thank you everyone for reading! If you've tried this product, feel free to share your opinion below and don't hesitate to leave a comment!

Shopping at Daiso!

Hey lovelies, it's been a very long time since I last updated my blog, my apologies! Things didn't go well for me but it's all over now so I can relax a bit~

The other day, I was doing some shopping with my mom at Daiso and I was pretty excited (this is my first time there so don't judge lol). Everything was only sold at S$2 so I began stuffing up my shopping cart! I absolutely love cute stuffs so I couldn't resist the temptations.

Because I took too many things and my mom complained about how am I gonna get those home so I have no choice but to cut out some. ;__;

So here's some pictures of them cuties I've got~
